Face Down in the Music

C'est la Vie

Run wild,
Run wild over me,
In this dreamscape savanna
On a green and waving sea.
Run wild, run forever,
Run forever over me
On this steaming sweet savanna,
In a green theology.

So my mind blows
Out the windows
And the moon glows
On my stream.

Faces,
There are faces that I know.
In this room I’ll face the music
Where my loved ones ebb and flow.
Face down in the music,
What a peaceful way to go.
Floating slowly to the bottom
And the mystery below.

So my mind blows
Out the windows
And the moon glows
On my stream.
In the wind chimes
Of my REM time,
Life is sublime
But a dream.

Flying,
Big wing angel bird of prey,
Leaving shadows on the landscape,
Leaving little men to pray.
Flying,
I am flying far away.
It is late and I am leaving
For some other kind of day.

So my mind blows
Out the windows
And the moon glows
On my stream.
In the wind chimes
Of my REM time,
Life is sublime
But a dream.
